Team lead, lead mobile software (iOS & Android) engineer

ExterNetworks (headquartered in Piscataway, NJ, USA) is a leading provider of Managed Technology Services for the last 20 years.

ExterNetwork's full technology lifecycle support model involves Design, Deployment, and 24x7 ongoing IT Management support such as network administration, data backup, and security monitoring.

While I was working at ExterNetworks I led the team of engineers who were involved in creating applications for the FieldEngineer project.

FieldEngineer is a global freelance marketplace that connects businesses with engineers on demand.

My duties as a lead mobile (iOS & Android) software engineer were:

1. Lead on new mobile app development (full cycle: from design to deployment at stores):
• reviewing project requirements and creating project specifications
• compiling Functional Requirement documents
• compiling documents with test cases for each project
• conducting the test cases on each supported device
2. Creating applications according to the latest technologies requirements.
3. Integration of apps with webservices (webAPI).
4. Creating text and video manuals about application use.
5. Publishing apps at stores. Beta testing and release.
6. Code review, new teammates onboarding, project developing coordination, creating architectural design / solution.
7. Managing a team of 5 engineers.
